We've noticed your router isn't connected to the Internet

Restart Linksys Velop System

1. Please check the ethernet cable plugged into your modem is in the correct port, please see the image below:

2. Please check underneath your Linksys router to ensure the ethernet cable from your modem is plugged into the correct port on the router - it will have a line above it, or possibly a yellow frame around three sides of it.

3. Once you have completed the above steps please power down your modem and main router for 30 seconds at the wall socket and turn them back on again.

4. Please wait for 3 mins until a solid light appears on your main router. If the light is solid blue then you are back online!

If it is not solid blue, follow the further steps below:

5. Please try changing the ethernet cable if you have a spare one between the modem and the router.

6. If it is still red - please press and hold the red reset button underneath the main router for 10 seconds. Then wait 5-6 minutes; the light should flash blue while the router is starting up, show purple when it is ready to set up, then flash white while it is setting itself up, and finally show solid blue if the automatic setup was successful!

7. If you have any child nodes (ie secondary routers) please follow step 9 to re-connect them.

8. If the light continues to be solid red please give us a call on 0800 082 0770 (please select option 2, then option 5 to speak to our Technical support team).

Reconnecting Child Nodes

9. If you have reset the main router to default using the reset button and you also have secondary routers, you will also need to reset and reconnect those. Press the reset button on each child node for 10 seconds and then wait 3 minutes for it to restart.

10. Once the light is showing solid purple it means the router is ready for set up. You can use the Linksys app to add all your secondary routers back into the mesh.

11. Open the Linksys App and click "Manage Your Wi-Fi" as seen below:

12. Please select sign in with Router/Admin password and enter the password from the bottom of your main Linksys tower:

* Please note - if your router/admin password is not working from the bottom of your main Linksys router then please select "Reset password" and enter the recovery key and create a new login password:
